For over 50 years, we have worked to preserve and present the history of the fabled Boise Basin. The Idaho City Foundation operates the Boise Basin Museum.
The Idaho City Historical Foundation (ICF) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, restoring, and interpreting the history of the Basin. The Foundation preserves and maintains a variety of historic buildings and parks in Idaho City including the Boise Basin Museum. The Museum is a great place to learn the story of the Basin’s rich mining and logging history. The Museum also has a wonderful gift shop.

Seasonal. Weekends only in May and September. Daily from Labor Day to Memorial Day. The Museum daily hours are from 11 am to 4 pm when open.
